SAC picThe Consortium for Resilient Gulf Communities (CRGC) recently appointed a Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for its work in Bayou La Batre, AL. The SAC will provide CRGC researchers with diverse perspectives on the environmental, public health, social, economic, legal, and cultural landscapes of their community. SAC members will also provide feedback and make recommendations about the existing and planned activities of the CRGC. Committee members come from the private sector, multiple levels of government, and community-based organizations. They also represent diverse stakeholder groups across the Bayou La Batre area. On March 29, 2016, the Alabama SAC convened at the Bayou Clinic in Bayou La Batre to meet with CRGC leadership and discuss current work in the community. CRGC is also in the process of appointing members for its Louisiana SAC, which will provide insight and guidance for the Consortium’s work in Southeast Louisiana.
