On Saturday, December 2nd, Tulane’s Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA) will welcome Major General Michael Regner, who will present Leadership in Peacetime and Crisis. Major General Regner will discuss topics including: (1) Resiliency in Peacetime and Crisis; (2) Crisis Communication; (3) Casualties – Civilians and Military Members; (4) Humanitarian Assistance and Cultural Awareness; and (5) Designing Your Leadership Philosophy. With nearly 40 years of service, Major General Michael Regner has held diverse command, leadership, and strategic planning positions including US and Multinational forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Europe, and Special Operations. Most recently, he served as the Marine Liaison to Congress and Director of Marine Legislative Affairs. During his multiple deployments throughout Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim, he led security, disaster response, and humanitarian operations.He is a graduate of the Citadel and maintains a Masters Degree from Webster University in Public Administration. The event will take place at 127 Elk Place in New Orleans, LA, this Saturday, December 2nd, from 9am – 12pm CT.
